Digicel wanted to make some noise around the Rio Olympics, using their ambassadors Usain Bolt and Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

The problems, they needed to reach out beyond Jamaica to the whole region, and they couldn’t mention the word Olympics, or Games, or Rio. Oh, and their main competitors were the ones broadcasting the games. Gulp!

We used music, a beat that captures the Caribbean to create a track and a remixer that would help Digicel own the 2nd screen.

Working closely with Soca legend, Machel Montano we created and released the Bring the Beat single. We then gave the single over to the fans to remix and share using the Digicel Remixer Web App that we created specifically for the campaign.

40 territories+zumba

Bring the Beat launched in over 40 territories across the Caribbean, Central America and the South Pacific as a fully integrated campaign with TV, outdoor, print, web videos, an app and digital display. And since this is the part where campaign’s make wild claims about their success, we helped Bolt win Triple Gold!

To top it off, the single also became a massive hit in the Zumba community.
