Since we launched eight and a half years ago a lot has changed. We opened our doors back in 2009 with not much more than a Lego table and the hope that we could persuade like-minded clients to give us a chance to help them grow their business.
In that time, we’ve grown from an optimistic group of 6 people with a belief in the power of great creativity to deliver the best commercial results, into a group almost ten times that size who know that to be the case. We’ve become Ireland’s largest independent agency, and the most creatively awarded agency in Ireland over the last four years.
One thing that hasn’t changed up until now is our identity. We wanted to give it a refresh to reflect what we believe to be the core philosophy of our business; collaboration. We believe great work comes about through working with great clients and fellow creative partners.
Making great work isn’t rocket science, we just find the best people and work with them. Collaboration has always been at the heart of Boys and Girls. It’s the ‘AND’ in our name. Now it’s at the heart of our identity too.
The other piece of news is that we’re delighted to announce a new collaborator; Robert Senior, one of the world’s most respected and renowned advertising figures is joining our board as our new Non-Executive Chairman. Robert brings something very unique to our business. As a founder of Fallon London, he grew the agency into a global powerhouse, producing work that’s widely respected as some of the greatest of all time like Cadbury’s ‘Gorilla’, Sony Bravia ‘Balls’ and Skoda ‘Cake’ before leading Saatchi & Saatchi, one of the world’s most famous agency networks.
Robert’s views on creativity and the power of creative ideas are aligned with ours. He shares our passion for collaboration, while his enthusiasm for the craft is contagious. Having his singular insights and perspective in our agency will be invaluable as Boys+Girls grows and develops our business to help us reach another level of success, both in Ireland and beyond.
