Launching a quintessentially Irish Whiskey in the US, is not without its challenges. Like how to communicate both the unique distillation process, and the place that Powers holds in Irish life.
We set out to make a web-film that would bring both of these things to life for a US audience that would be housed on the new Powers site. With a tight budget, we took on directing duties ourselves with John Kilkenny doing the honours and Simon Walsh lending a hand (and an eye) as DP. John Kennedy with Windmill was tasked with the considerable editing challenge We learned a lot from one of our first in-house productions, and as they say “With Knowledge Comes Powers”
