The President will see you now…
I’ve always wanted to hear those words. Hollywood dialogue osmosis most likely. And today i almost did.
Recently i’ve gone onto the Marketing Society Council and my timing was pretty fortutitous. The Society has just turned 40 and we were invited to mark that landmark achievement with a visit to the Aras to meet President Mary McAleese.
And to prove it a cheesy photo…
What a person our president. Bristling with positivity, word perfect eloquence and a wonderful presence; she made us feel incredibly welcome.
All of the past chairpersons of the society were also invited and it was lovely to meet some of the men and women whose names have been synonmous with our industry but whom i hadn’t had an opportunity to meet before – in particular i had the pleasure of hearing some highly entertaining anecdotes from Finbar Costello.
All told a fantastic experience and a real privilege.
