Happy Birthday to us, with some healthy competition!
Last night saw the official celebration of the Boys and Girls 2nd birthday.
Champagne and cupcakes in the office, followed by our own pub quiz in town. Different techniques to win were employed by all. Bairbre’s team had scientifically looked up typical pub quiz questions (which served them well, for the Solheim Cup and Man Booker prize questions). They were also spotted doing some swotting up during breaks.
As might have been expected the music, advertising and film/tv rounds were heavily contested. With lots of whoops and hollers (and groans) as the answers were read out.
And much to the chagrin of the girls, a boys and girls team didn’t win, the victory went to a boys only group. Here they are with their enormous trophy.
Despite a noble effort (and having most people on our team), I belonged to the losing team. Ah well, there is always next year!
