I feel a bit like the kid in The Emperor’s New Clothes, am I the only one who is not enamored by Muller’s Wunderful Stuff ad? And isn’t it everywhere??
What do they want me to think? Muller will cheer me up? In a less than wonderful world, Muller wants us to celebrate the little wonders? They are taking a stand against the gloomy zeitgeist? What a trip you can get for less than a €1???? Make me aware of the brand (but it has over 90% awareness anyway). OMG, how much must that have cost?
And in conversations about it, common themes seem to be…..WTF? The Creatives must have been trying to flog this idea for years, and finally found someone who would buy it (good for them!).
I am not sure that an ad that gets more talk about the ad than the brand is doing a great job.
Maybe I will be eating my yogurt words, but for now I am going to be the child in the crowd shouting ‘the king is in his altogether, he’s all together as naked as the day that he was born’, sing it people……
